Implementation of Input Shaping Control to Reduce Residual Vibration in Industrial Network Motion System

In this paper, a method to implement the input shaping control in Mechatrolink-III motion system is introduced. Firstly, the underdamped system is theoretically built by modeling. Then, the motion controller of Mechatrolink-III network is designed to apply the input shaper for reducing residual vibration in manufacturing machine. Later, the experimental beam is set-up to verify the effective performance of input shaping technique. The validity of the control strategy is practically performed by testing ZV, ZVD and ZVDD input shapers.

Low-Cost Resolver-to-DC Converter

A simple technique for implementation of resolver-to-DC converter is presented in this paper. The obtained output in form of DC voltage is linearly proportional to the position of motor shaft angle. The configuration of proposed converter consists of commercial available circuit building blocks such as demodulator, sine-to-triangular wave converter, logic control, and triangular-to-sawtooth converter. The proposed approach is obtained the economical attraction. Experimental results confirming the circuit performance are agreed with the expected values.

Paddy Rice Moisture Content Meter

Abstract: The principle of the electrical capacitance properties to measure paddy rice moisture content is presented in this paper. The aim of this research is to design a low-cost paddy rice moisture content meter. Paddy rice was packed in a 600 cm3 cylindrical plastic container with the diameter of 9 centimeters and the length of 10 centimeters. The integrated circuit ICL8038 was applied to generate the frequency signal. After that, the capacitor in ICL8038 circuit was replaced by the cylindrical plastic container.
